Know which store pages Google has indexed

Your store is live, your products are published and your sitemap is available. But which URLs has Google actually indexed? Google Index Checker turns that question into a clear working view of your website.

Import your XML sitemap, connect your Google Search Console property and run bulk URL inspections. Review reported index status, coverage details and previous check results without inspecting every URL individually.

Built for ecommerce owners, website managers and SEO agencies working with their own websites or authorised client properties.

From a sitemap to a practical index coverage review

Use your sitemap as a working list, check the URLs that matter to your business and keep the results in one place.

  • Import an XML sitemap or a sitemap index containing multiple child sitemaps.
  • See total URLs, checked URLs, indexed URLs, URLs reported as not indexed, unchecked URLs and check errors.
  • Review products, categories, brands, pages and posts separately where your sitemap structure supports that classification.
  • Filter by URL, index status and submission status to narrow down your next action.
  • Open a URL to see available coverage details, last crawl information, crawler type, robots status and indexing permissions returned by Google.
  • Recheck individual URLs or sections and keep a history of completed inspections.
  • Manage inspection and submission queues from the same workspace.
  • Open the page or its Search Console inspection directly from the dashboard.

Official Google data, organised around your workflow

Google Search Console remains the source of inspection data. The tool adds a sitemap-based working list, section filters, queues and saved check history around that data.

A non-indexed status is a starting point for investigation, not an automatic diagnosis. Some URLs are intentionally excluded, redirected or represented by a canonical page. Focus on the pages you actually want indexed.

Built for ecommerce owners and client-facing teams

Review your product catalog

See which product and category URLs are reported as indexed. Identify pages worth investigating and give your developer or SEO specialist a concrete list to work from.

Follow up after releases and migrations

Recheck sitemap URLs after catalog changes, a redesign or a migration. Compare inspections over time as Google's stored index information is updated.

Make client discussions more concrete

Replace a vague conversation about visibility with specific URL statuses and inspection history. Use the workspace alongside your existing SEO and analytics tools.

A sitemap-based workflow across ecommerce platforms

The workflow connects through your XML sitemap and authorised Google Search Console access rather than relying on a platform-specific plugin.

Discuss setup for Shopify and Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, Magento and Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, OpenCart, osCommerce, TrueLoaded or a custom ecommerce website. URL grouping depends on the sitemap and platform profile. The application runs on compatible PHP hosting, separately from the storefront where required.

Inspection first. Optional submissions when needed.

Checking a URL and submitting it for indexing are different actions. The tool keeps inspection results separate from submission status.

Google Search Console URL Inspection API

Inspect URLs belonging to a Search Console property your service account can access. Google returns its stored index information, not a live crawl test.

Google's inspection quota is currently 2,000 requests per day and 600 per minute per property. Larger URL lists need to be processed over multiple runs or days. Additional service accounts do not increase the per-property quota.

Optional SpeedyIndex integration

Connect your own SpeedyIndex account to submit selected URLs or use its paid index checking service. You can keep Google Search Console as the inspection method and use SpeedyIndex only for submissions.

SpeedyIndex pricing and service terms apply separately. Submit pages that should be indexed after reviewing technical exclusions and canonical issues.

Create a SpeedyIndex account — referral link.

About the Google Indexing API submission option

This is separate from URL Inspection. Google's supported uses are pages with JobPosting data or BroadcastEvent embedded in VideoObject. Ordinary product, category and blog pages are not supported use cases.

For eligible pages, follow Google's ownership, approval and quota requirements before enabling this submission route.

Read Google's supported-use guidelines

Index coverage answers which sitemap URLs Google reports as indexed. Search performance helps you review how the project is performing over time.

Use Google Index Checker alongside Re{code} Search Performance Platform for complementary views of index coverage and project performance trends.

Connect Google Search Console and your sitemap

We can help with setup during your trial. The steps below explain the connection. Google Analytics APIs are not required for this tool.

1. Create a Google Cloud project and enable the API

Open Google Cloud project management and create or select a project.

With that project selected, open the Google Search Console API page and click Enable.

2. Create a service account and download its JSON key
  1. Open Create service account . Enter a name and complete creation without granting unnecessary Cloud project roles.
  2. Open the service accounts list and select the account.
  3. Open Keys → Add key → Create new key. Select JSON and save the downloaded file.
  4. Copy the service account email from the client_email field.

The JSON file contains a private key. Do not publish it, include it in screenshots or send it through an ordinary contact form. Add it only to your trusted workspace.

3. Grant access to your Search Console property
  1. Open Google Search Console and select your verified property.
  2. Go to Settings → Users and permissions → Add user.
  3. Add the service account email and grant Full permission for inspection.

Creating the Cloud account does not automatically grant access to your website's Search Console property.

4. Add your site, sitemap and service account to the tool
  1. Open Settings → Site.
  2. Enter the exact Search Console property: sc-domain:example.com for a Domain property, or https://www.example.com/ for a matching URL-prefix property.
  3. Enter your Site URL and public XML Sitemap URL.
  4. Choose Auto-detect for the sitemap platform, or select the appropriate profile manually. Save the settings.
  5. Open Settings → APIs and select Google Search Console API as the inspection method.
  6. Under Google Service Accounts, click Add account. Enter a label and paste the complete JSON file contents into Service Account JSON.
  7. Save the account and test the connection using its status indicator.

Inspected URLs must belong to the selected property. Sitemap import adds URLs to the tool; it does not automatically submit the sitemap to Google.

5. Import your sitemap and run inspections
  1. Open Settings → Site and click Import sitemap.
  2. Select a section, click Check section and then Process now.
  3. Review completed results and filter URLs reported as not indexed.
  4. Open individual URLs for details. Recheck them later to follow changes.

Start with a small section to confirm the connection. Completion time depends on URL count, hosting performance and API quotas.

Optional: connect SpeedyIndex
  1. Create or sign in to your SpeedyIndex account and review the current service terms.
  2. Copy your key from the SpeedyIndex API settings .
  3. Paste it into Settings → APIs → SpeedyIndex API Key.
  4. Select SpeedyIndex API as the submission method. Keep Google Search Console for inspections, or choose SpeedyIndex Checker for paid checks.
  5. Save settings, review the URLs you intend to submit and queue the selected submissions.
  6. Click Process now. Use Check Speedy tasks to refresh available reports.

Review the URL list before a section-wide submission, as it may also contain already indexed pages.

Frequently asked questions

How does the seven-day trial work?

We prepare a workspace on our server, help with setup and provide seven days of full access. After purchase, we unlock the installation and transfer the application and collected data to your compatible server.

Do I need access to Google Search Console?

Yes, for the Google inspection route. Your service account needs access to the verified property you want to inspect. Agencies can use authorised client properties.

Is this a live index or crawl test?

No. The URL Inspection API returns Google's stored index information. A recent website change may not yet be reflected in that information.

How are larger sitemaps handled?

The tool uses queues to organise inspections. Google's per-property inspection quotas still apply: 2,000 requests per day and 600 per minute. Larger lists need to be processed over multiple runs or days.

Can the tool run on our own server?

Yes, on compatible PHP hosting with SQLite3, cURL, SimpleXML, OpenSSL and JSON support. We check deployment requirements before the transfer. The database, credentials and logs must be protected from public access.

Does an indexed status mean the page ranks well?

No. Index coverage and rankings are different. Use this tool to review reported index status, and your search performance tools to assess queries, traffic and trends.

Does submitting a URL guarantee indexing?

No. Google decides which pages to index. Review subsequent inspection results rather than treating an accepted submission as proof of indexing.

Do we need SpeedyIndex to use the checker?

No. You can inspect authorised sitemap URLs using Google Search Console without a SpeedyIndex account. The external integration is optional and billed separately.
